SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University junior
Donovan Hill was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Basketball East Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.
Hill posted a historic 16-point, 24-rebound performance in the Raiders' 83-77 win at Seton Hill Saturday.
His 24 boards were the highest by any PSAC player in more than five years (Slippery Rock's Micah Till had 27 on Feb. 3, 2018), and the most rebounds by a Raider this century and in at least 30 years.
Hill had grabbed 11 rebounds within the game's first 12 minutes and totaled 12 rebounds in each half. He helped the Raiders win the rebounding battle against the Griffins, 46-29.
It marked his second double-double this season. He has totaled 60 rebounds over his last four games.
The weekly award represents the first of Hill's career. It is the Raiders' second conference weekly honor this season, as
Markus Frank was named PSAC East Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week on Nov. 19.
