SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University football team honored 12 senior players on Saturday as it concluded its home schedule at SU Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium. The Raiders dropped a 47-0 decision to East Stroudsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest.

Shippensburg (2-7, 1-5 PSAC East) managed just 148 yards on offense and surrendered 11 pass plays of 15 or more yards. The Raiders threw three interceptions (two of which led to Warrior touchdowns) and were not able to reach the red zone on the day.

East Stroudsburg (8-1, 5-1) received banner offensive performances from senior wide receiver John Siggins and veteran quarterback Sean McTaggart. By halftime, Siggins had totaled six catches for 205 yards and three touchdowns – scores of 37, 89 and 19 yards that contributed to a 24-0 halftime lead. McTaggart had already thrown for 303 yards by halftime and finished the game with 415 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Nine different receivers hauled in a reception, while running backs
Ethan Arneson and
Josiah Leonard combined for 72 rushing yards.

Redshirt-junior
Terrance Peterson Jr. was all over the field defensively, finishing with a career-high 14 tackles (six solo). It is Peterson's third career game with double-digit tackles and surpasses his previous mark of 13 set as a redshirt-freshman in 2022 against Kutztown.

Nate Myers was also a factor at linebacker, totaling a career-high 10 tackles. Included in that total was 1.5 tackles-for-loss (TFLs), which also matched his season and career high.

For the second straight week, senior
TJ Wagner had a career-high seven tackles. Wagner also had a TFL.

Tanner Luther had nine punts, averaging 41.9 yards per punt, including a long of 50 yards on the day.

Shippensburg concludes its divisional schedule next weekend at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lock Haven.

WEEK 11 SCHEDULE NOTE: By virtue of Kutztown securing the PSAC Eastern Division title on Saturday and California (Pa.) having already clinched the Western Division title, SU's Week 11 game will now take place at IUP on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Raiders were originally scheduled to face the Vulcans.
