The Shippensburg University football team came up short Saturday in its final game of the 2024 season, dropping a 38-7 decision at IUP in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover at Miller Stadium.

Shippensburg (2-9) could not slow down an IUP (7-3) rushing attack that finished the day with 304 yards on the ground. The Raiders kept the Crimson Hawks to just 153 yards through the air and got interceptions from both juniors

IUP led 21-0 in the second quarter when SU got its touchdown by converting a 4th-and-11 with a 35-yard touchdown strike from redshirt-freshman quarterback
Riley Gunnels to redshirt-sophomore wide receiver
Jaimen Bryant. It is the first passing touchdown of Gunnels' career and the first touchdown catch of the season for Bryant.

Karim Brice led the team with three receptions. Redshirt-sophomore
Josiah Leonard led the running backs with 59 yards on eight carries.

Tanner Luther averaged 42.3 yards over the course of eight punts.

IUP quarterback Karst Hunter ran for 113 yards and three scores while throwing for 134 yards and two interceptions. Four different Crimson Hawks had at least 10 carries in the game.
