INDIANA, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's swimming team had a tough outing Tuesday evening, dropping a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup at IUP, 150-47 at Pidgeon Natatorium.
 
The top finish on the day came in the final event of the meet, the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of senior Zaidian Van Orden, senior Nathan VanNatter, sophomore Connor Ludwig, and sophomore Robbie Ferlick used a time of 1:27.84 to surpass IUP's "A" relay and to win the event.
 
Sophomore Mason Koeth posted two PSAC qualifying standards on the day, taking second place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.24) and third place in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.15). Ferlick took third in the 200 free with a 1:49.59 that just missed the qualifying standard (1:49.17).
 
Freshman Alex Kissinger posted a PSAC standard in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a 2:03.32, taking third place in the event (PSAC standard is 2:03.62).
 
The Raiders will visit Frostburg State at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18.
