SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University head women's soccer coach
Rob Fulton has confirmed the recruitment of eight student-athletes who have each agreed to attend the university and will suit up for the Raider program and compete for a roster spot when preseason camp gets underway in August.
These individuals have signed either national letters of intent (NLIs) or institutional letters expressing their desire to play women's soccer at Shippensburg. This year's recruiting class features three women from Maryland, two women from Pennsylvania, two women from Delaware and one woman from New York.
The recruits are as follows (in alphabetical order):
Kyla Anderson
Freshman • Goalkeeper/Midfield
McSherrystown, Pa./New Oxford
New Oxford High School: Earned four varsity letters as a starter for the Colonials under head coach David Shaffer…competed at the club level for PSA Elite 03 under head coach Vitto Pasko…played both goalkeeper and forward…finished as a three-time York-Adams Intercollegiate Athletic Association (YAIAA) All Star, earning Division I Second Team honors as a senior after earning Division I First Team honors as a junior and sophomore…nominated to YAIAA Senior All-Star Game…voted Team MVP as a sophomore…averaged eight saves per game as a goalkeeper…recorded seven shutouts spanning junior and senior seasons…delivered multiple saves and converted game-tying penalty kick in sophomore season to end school's losing streak that dated back three years…also played basketball.
About Anderson: Full name is Kyla Nicole Anderson...is the daughter of Nicole Dahler and Kreg Anderson...majoring in exploratory studies…has a brother, Kaden.

About Ciriaco: Full name is Ava Jean Ciriaco... is the daughter of Natalia and Travis Ciriaco...majoring in exercise science with an allied health pre-professional concentration…has a brother, Dominic and a sister, Gabriella…father Travis was a state champion soccer player and a state medalist in wrestling at Saint Mark's (Del.).

Delaware Military Academy: Earned four varsity letters for the Seahawks under coaches Brittany Quynn and Lindsay Russell...competed at club level for Sporting Delaware under coach Adam Zarr...finished as a three-time All-State performer in Delaware, including All-State Division II First Team and Top XI honors as a senior in addition to Second Team honors as a sophomore and junior…was a three-time All-Conference First Team player…totaled 46 goals and 22 assists spanning her three final varsity seasons, including 16 goals and seven assists as a senior...scored 15 or more goals in each of her final three varsity seasons…achieved six additional varsity letters from cross country and track & field...served as the president of her school's chapter of the National Honor Society with a 4.3 GPA...was on the Distinguished Honor Roll and was a Presidential Award recipient.
