SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Shippensburg University baseball team was eliminated from the PSAC Tournament by nationally-ranked Seton Hill on Wednesday afternoon at Jack Critchfield Park, 12-1.

Shippensburg (27-23) managed just two hits across seven innings. Seton Hill (41-10) slugged 14 hits in the contest, including a pair of home runs from Jack Oberdorf.

The Griffins posted four runs on four hits in the first two innings to take an early lead.

SU recorded the team's first hit in the fourth, with freshman
Mike Heckman singled to the shortstop. After being advanced to second on a ground out and moved over to third on a balk Heckman crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly from junior
Austin Baal.

SHU pulled further ahead in the bottom of the fourth, scoring three runs to make it 7-1.

Sophomore
Carter Hinds extended his hitting streak to 15 games after lining a double down the right-field line.

Seton Hill brought another set of runs across the plate in the bottom of the sixth, extending its lead to 9-1.

Oberdorf's second home run, and fifth hit of the ball game ended the contest with a final score of 12-1.

Graduate
Noah Nabholz got the start on the mound and earned the loss in 3.2 innings. Redshirt-sophomore
Brock Piper and redshirt-freshman
Eric Bohenek each pitched 1.1 innings of relief.

The Griffins' Jon McCullough threw a complete game to pick up his fifth win of the season.

Shippensburg now awaits a potential at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. The NCAA selection show is scheduled for Sunday, May 14 at 10 p.m.
