Ariel Jones and Abby Reasoner had NCAA provisional qualifiers and PRs in their respective events as the Shippensburg University women's outdoor track & field team had multiple solid performances in competition Wednesday at the York Twilight Meet at York College. 
 
Jones, in her second competition of the season, had her best clearance of the bar with an NCAA provisional mark of 5 feet, 7 inches (1.70m). Jones previous best performance was from the Paul Kaiser Classic on April 27, 2019 when she cleared the bar with a 5 feet, 6 inches (1.68m). Allyson Richwine placed third in the high jump with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifier of 5 feet, 3 inches (1.60m). Norah Vallon also had a PSAC qualifier with a fifth place finish of 5 feet, 1 inch (1.55m).
 
Reasoner paced the Raiders in the javelin with a personal best and an NCAA provisional throw of 138 feet, 5 inches (42.20m). Maddie Sieg placed third and a PSAC qualifier throw of 125 feet, 10 inches (38.35m), and right behind her was Brittany Nye with a mark of 119 feet, 4 inches (36.36m).
 
Payton Bauer set a PSAC qualifier and led the Raiders with a shot of 41 feet, 3.25 inches (12.58m), while Makayla Decker took third in the discus with a PSAC qualifier mark of 123 feet, 10 inches (37.75m).
 
Sasha Lee was the lone Raider in the triple jump and took a first place finish with a 39 feet, 1.75 inches (11.93m) jump. Lee's jump narrowly missed the NCAA Provisional mark by .03 inches. Lee took first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.70 seconds, and again narrowly missed an NCAA mark.
 
Melanie Barger took third place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.90 seconds which is a PSAC qualifier and was second in the 400-meter hurdles with a PSAC qualifier time of 1:06.45.
 
Sara McKean took a first-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 18 feet, 7 inches (5.66m), a PSAC qualifier, and in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.86 seconds.
 
The 4x100-meter relay team of Kayla Dalhouse, Leah Graybill, Aliyah Serrano and McKean took first with a time of 46.77 seconds. 
 
Graybill took first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.47 seconds, and right behind her was Serrano with a time of 25.40 seconds; both are PSAC qualifier marks.
 
Alyssa Wert was the lone Raider in the 400-meter dash and took first with a time of 59.87 seconds, which is a PSAC qualifier. Belle Weikert had an impressive run in the 5K with a PSAC qualifier time of 18:48.44.
 
Shippensburg will compete next weekend April 14-16 at Bucknell for the Bison Outdoor Classic.
