SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's outdoor track & field team enhanced its school record in the 4x100-meter relay and received a banner day from Sasha Lee as it competed at home at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Seth Grove Stadium.
 
The 4x100-meter relay of Aliyah Serrano, Sara McKean, Kayla Dalhouse and Leah Graybill improved their school record with a new meet record of 46.42 seconds, as the quartet maintains its ranking atop the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) leaderboard.
 
Lee had an extraordinary day, including a victory in the 100-meter hurdles of 14.16 seconds that crushed her personal best by four-tenths of a second. The NCAA provisional qualifier enhanced her spot atop the conference leaderboard in the event.
 
She also affirmed her spot atop the conference leaderboard in the triple jump with a victorious leap of 39 feet, 4 inches for another personal best and provisional qualifier. Lee also took second to teammate McKean in the long jump, with each woman surpassing 18 feet with their best mark on the day.
 
Graybill won both the 100 meters and the 200 meters – her 200-meter time of 24.37 seconds broke the meet record. Serrano ran second to Graybill in both events; her 100-meter time of 11.98 seconds moved her up to fifth on the league leaderboard.
 
Melanie Barger improved her season best in the 400-meter hurdles with a third-place time of 1:04.85, while Amanda LaVana notched a PSAC qualifier in the 10K by running 40:13.
 
Makayla Decker and Brittany Nye were among the major highlights in throws. Decker landed a PR in the discus of 131 feet, 9 inches that moved her all the way up to fourth on the conference leaderboard, while Nye's season best in the javelin of 131 feet, 6 inches has her seventh in the PSAC.
 
Shippensburg will send a contingent next Friday to compete at Penn State's Jim Thorpe Open. The PSAC Championships take place in two weeks at Slippery Rock.
