The Shippensburg University women's outdoor track & field team was represented by its heptathletes on Friday as the Raiders began a three-day weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell University.
Nicola Puggé currently paces three Raiders competing in the "blue" section of the heptathlon with 2,618 points and sits in third place.
Macy Hines has totaled 2,402 points while
Kyli Moon-Rumsey has 2,219 points.
Puggé began the day by improving her PR in the 100-meter hurdles to 15.71 seconds. Her shot put of 37 feet, 6 ¾ inches was the second-best of the 16 competitors. She also posted a slight improvement to her PR in the 200 meters, running 27.42 seconds.
Hines contributed the fourth-best shot put, 33 feet, 3 ¼ inches (10.14 meters), while Moon-Rumsey ran the fourth-fastest 200 meters with a time of 26.95 seconds.
Saturday's competition begins at 9 a.m.
