SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team wrapped up a busy week of home matches with a loss to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opponent Bloomsburg on Senior Day Friday at Robb Sports Complex, 7-0.
 
Shippensburg (3-8, 2-4 PSAC East) saw several Raiders hang tough against their Bloomsburg (4-10, 4-2) counterparts, but could not manage a set in either singles or doubles competition.
 
Sophomore Kendall Winters and freshman Avery Wissinger led the hosts by taking five games apiece in competition at #3 singles and #5 singles, respectively.
 
Freshman Katelyn Hanft took four games in #6 singles, while sophomore Brooklynn Rupert took a pair of games in #2 singles.
 
The team of Winters and junior Brighid Cantwell paced the Raiders by winning two games in doubles competition.
 
The Raiders recognized Sahar Islam, the team's lone senior, prior to the start of Friday's match.
 
Up next, SU will conclude their regular season schedule Tuesday with a match at Millersville. Tennis is slated to get underway at 3 p.m.
