The Shippensburg University baseball team scored seven runs over the final two innings Tuesday but could not complete a rally at Frostburg State, falling 12-8 to the Bobcats in a non-conference game at Bob Wells Field.

Shippensburg (16-13) got three hits and three RBIs from freshman
Tony Falvo, who got the start at shortstop. Junior
Austin Baal hit his team-leading eighth home run of the season in the eighth to kickstart the Raider rally and finished 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored.

The Raiders finished with 14 hits, including five players with multiple hits. Redshirt-sophomore
Brock Piper was 2-for-5 with a double; junior
Morgan Wyatt was 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, and sophomore
Carter Arbuthnot was 2-for-3 and reached base three times serving as the second baseman.

Ethan Miller started and threw 3.1 innings. Freshman
J.T. Weaver threw 1.2 scoreless innings of relief and struck out four, while sophomore
Jaxon Dalena pitched a scoreless eighth and struck out two.

Frostburg had 12 hits and was led by leadoff man Danny Estrada, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, triple, four RBIs and three runs scored.

Shippensburg travels to Shepherd on Friday to begin a three-game divisional series with the Rams. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
