The Shippensburg University men's basketball team will play host to the Lock Haven Bald Eagles in a PSAC Quarterfinal matchup Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg, the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Division, will battle the No. 5-seeded Bald Eagles after taking them down twice in the regular season, including this past Saturday in its regular season finale, 74-65.
Lock Haven earned a PSAC Quarterfinal berth after defeating the No. 4-seeded Millersville Marauders in a first round matchup Monday on the road, 66-57, achieving the program's first postseason win in 33 years.
The Raiders faced off against the Bald Eagles in the PSAC Tournament twice in recent history, both last year and during the 2018-19 season.
Shippensburg defeated Lock Haven in a first round tilt in February 2022, 77-64.
The 2018-19 campaign saw wild twists and turns between the two teams. After losing to Lock Haven by one point on the road, the Raiders blew out the Bald Eagles by thirty points at home during the regular season, before pulling out a one-point victory over Lock Haven in round one of PSACs, 71-70, also at Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg is 18-14 in the PSAC Tournament since 1980, including 12-6 under head coach
Chris Fite. SU is 8-1 at home, 7-8 on the road, and 3-5 at neutral sites.
The winner of Wednesday's contest will advance to the PSAC Semifinals on Saturday. The highest remaining seed in the Eastern Division will host the PSAC Men's Basketball Semifinals and Championship Game.
