Shippensburg University's
Sasha Lee was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office after achieving a new personal best in the 60-meter hurdles on Saturday at Lehigh.
At Lehigh's Fast Times Before Finals, Lee improved her personal best in the 60-meter hurdles with another NCAA provisional qualifier, this time enhancing her PR to 8.80 seconds during prelims. Lee finished second in the finals with a time of 8.93 seconds. She remains ranked fourth all-time in school history for the event.
The performance leads the PSAC and ranks in a tie for 14th on the national list.
Lee also competed in the long jump Saturday (not included in the weekly award consideration), finishing third on a top mark of 17 feet, 11 ¾ inches.
It is the first time in Lee's career that she has received a PSAC weekly award. It is the second consecutive week that a Raider has received the weekly track award, as
Leah Graybill was honored last Monday.
