The Shippensburg University men's swimming team won four individual events Friday night as it dropped a road dual meet at Clarion by the score of 115-84.
 
Junior David Johnson posted the first individual win of the night for the Raiders by finishing the 1,000-yard freestyle in a victorious time of 10:22.38. Johnson was also the runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly, swimming 2:05.02.
 
Freshman Robbie Ferlick impressed once again in the 50-yard freestyle, beating the field with a winning time of 22.02 seconds. Fellow freshman Mason Koeth notched a victory in the 100-yard freestyle, swimming 47.57 seconds.
 
Senior Michael Salvatori broke the two-minute mark in the 200-yard backstroke, achieving victory with a time of 1:59.90.
 
Graduate JC Greenwood was the runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 5:04.20.
 
To begin the meet, Koeth, junior Nathan VanNatter, senior Matthew Beard and Ferlick completed the 200-yard medley relay in a second-place time of 1:37.55. To conclude the meet, Koeth, Ferlick, VanNatter and Beard completed the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:26.91.
 
Shippensburg will return to action in two weeks with its first big invitational meet of the season, competing for three days at Franklin & Marshall College.
