-58, over Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday night in Heiges Field House.

Abbie Miller, and freshman
Bella Chimienti all reached double figures, combining for 50 points of the Raiders' season-high point total. The Shippensburg (1-4) starters scored all but four points in the game.
George's 19 points led all scorers. Miller dropped a season-high 18 points, two short of her career high, and Chimienti added a career-high 13 points. Miller's 10 rebounds were good enough for her third career double-double
. Both Miller and George converted 6-of-6 free throws in the game, combining for six free throws in the final minute to put the game to rest. Miller's six free throws are also a career high.
Twelve of Chimienti's points came in a big second quarter as the freshman scored the Raiders' final 10 points in the frame on 5-of-5 shooting to regain the lead just before halftime. Chimienti also finished with four assists, another new career-best mark.
Junior
Taja Colbert registered seven points with five rebounds and two assists. Freshman
Alexis Buie netted eight points of 4-of-7 shooting with a career-high four rebounds.
Shippensburg shot 46 percent as a team from the field and converted 3-of-6 from three-point range. The Raiders were a force down low with 42 points in the paint. Defensively, the Raiders held Goldey-Beacom (0-5) to 26-percent shooting as the Lightning scored 24 of their points from the foul line. GBC was 6-of-23 from behind the arc.
George and junior
Abbie Miller scored on two of Shippensburg's first three possessions to help the hosts take an early 7-0 lead. The Raiders held Goldey-Beacom to three points through the first seven minutes of the game before the Lightning cut the lead to 9-8. A late basket by George gave the Raiders an 11-8 lead going into the second quarter.
Chimienti scored quickly to start the second quarter to put the Raiders up by five, but a 6-2 scoring run by the Lightning made it a one-point game with 8:26 remaining in the half. After the Lightning tied the game at 15-15 with a free throw, a basket by senior
Carolina Rodriguez Sanchez and free throws by George gave the Raiders their advantage back.
A three by Chimienti at the 3:56 mark put Shippensburg up by six, but Goldey-Beacom responded with a 7-0 run to take its first lead of the game at 25-24. In the final 1:21 of the half, Chimienti continued her strong play with a driving finish and a three to restore the Raider lead to 29-25 heading into the break.
Miller paced the Raiders with seven points in the third period as the Raiders maintained their two-possession lead. The Lightning made it a one-possession game at the 6:58 mark, but Miller responded with the next three points. Shippensburg had an answer for every Goldey-Beacom score as the Raiders did not allow consecutive scores in the quarter from the Lightning, taking a 47-42 lead to the fourth.
A three and a jumper by George with 5:31 remaining gave SU its biggest lead of the game at 58-46. Shippensburg continued to pull away with an and-one finish by Miller who converted the free throw to extend the lead to 61-46. The Raiders held the Lightning to just four points through the first six-and-a-half minutes of the quarter.
