The Shippensburg University men's and women's swimming team completed three days of excellent competition Friday through Sunday at the Franklin & Marshall (F&M) Invitational in Lancaster.
 
The structure of the F&M meet features morning prelims and evening finals for three straight days, which serves as an excellent preparation for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships that will be held in February.
 
Also, the F&M meet is one that the Raiders specifically "taper" and prepare for with a goal of producing their fastest times of the season.
 
And that's exactly what they did this weekend.
 
Overall, the Raiders recorded 78 performances that satisfied the PSAC qualifying standards (41 women, 37 men). Thirty-four individual women's swims advanced to evening finals, while 31 men's individual swims advanced to evening finals.
 
Of those performances, the team added 14 new additions (nine men, five women) to the school's Top 10 times by event.
