The Shippensburg University women's basketball team was voted third in the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Preseason Coaches' Poll released Thursday afternoon by the league office.
The voting is conducted by the league's head coaches.
Shippensburg returns 10 players, including two starters, and welcomes a group of five newcomers to a team that finished 25-7 last season and notched the program's first NCAA Tournament victory since 2001.

Treasure George returns after reaching double figures in 22-of-32 outings last season, averaging 10.8 points per game. Junior forward
Abbie Miller averaged 8.3 points and 6.2 rebounds and was among the best in college basketball at anticipating and drawing charges, drawing a total of 54 a season ago.
Shippensburg opens the season by hosting the Conference Challenge (PSAC vs. CIAA) Nov. 10-11 at Heiges Field House, with dates against Fayetteville State and Bowie State.
