Women’s Lacrosse announces 2023 recruiting class

Nine newcomers set to join the Raider program

9/5/2022 1:00:00 PM

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Shippensburg University women's lacrosse head coach Brooke Sabol has confirmed the recruitment of nine new players for the 2023 season.

All of the newcomers are freshmen, with five hailing from Pennsylvania, three from Maryland and one from Colorado.

"I am very excited to bring this freshman class into our program," said Sabol. "They already have a solid foundation of Lacrosse IQ and skill, and it will be great to see them contribute to the team's overall chemistry. If they work hard this fall, they will put themselves in a good position to make an impact this spring."

The recruits will join 18 returning players from the 2022 Raider team.

Sabol added, "Although we graduated a great amount of talent this past spring, we have a tremendous amount of leadership and talent with the returning players. Combined with the freshman class, this group is ready to put in the work, and continue to grow this program."
