CARLISLE, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team dropped a non-league match at Dickinson on Tuesday afternoon, falling 9-0 to the Red Devils.

Shippensburg (1-1) struggled to take control of each game but battled. The No. 1 doubles pair of freshman Corrine Markovich and sophomore
Brooklynn Rupert collected two games while the No. 2 doubles pairing of junior
Brighid Cantwell and sophomore
Kendall Winters won three games.

In singles, Cantwell battled from 5-2 down but fell 7-5 in the first set. The second set was another battle but Cantwell also dropped the second, 6-3. Winters also had a close matchup, but dropped her sets by score of 6-2, 6-4. Senior
Sahar Islam collected one game at No. 4 singles, while freshman
Katelyn Hanft played her first collegiate match and collected one game at No. 6 singles.
