SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University redshirt-junior Nick Zegna was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
 
In a 7-3 win in 10 innings at Kutztown on Friday, Zegna threw all 10 innings for a complete-game win. Zegna is the first Raider in 18 years to pitch 10 innings in a game. It's the first time since Evan Englebrook went 10 innings on April 29, 2004, in the PSAC Tournament, also against Kutztown.
 
Zegna retired the last 10 hitters he faced, including the side in order in the eighth, ninth and 10th. Zegna finished allowing five hits and three unearned runs total, walking no one and striking out nine. He threw 110 pitches in his 10-inning complete game.
 
This is Zegna's second career PSAC Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week award; he previously won it back on March 28. This is the third time this season a Raider won the award, as junior Noah Nabholz previously won it on April 4.
