The Shippensburg University lacrosse team lost its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opener at No. 5 West Chester on Wednesday, 17-5, at Vonnie Gros Field.

Shippensburg (2-3, 0-1 PSAC East) trailed 12-1 at the half but out-scored West Chester (3-0, 1-0) by a 3-1 margin in the third quarter.
