SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University field hockey team will travel to Kutztown for the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Semifinal at 3 p.m. Friday against No. 3 seed Millersville at Andre Reed Stadium.
Â
The winner of the semifinal match will face the winner of the other semifinal (No. 1 seed Kutztown and No. 4 seed East Stroudsburg) in the PSAC Championship game, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at Andre Reed Stadium.
Â
Friday's game is a rematch of the 2021 PSAC Championships Semifinals at Shippensburg in which the Raiders defeated the Marauders in overtime, 2-1.
Â
Earlier this season, Millersville defeated Shippensburg, 4-1 at Biemesderfer. The two teams have alternated wins and losses in the last five meetings in the overall series.
Â
The Raiders are 19-28 all-time in the PSAC Championships dating back to 1979. SU is seeking its third PSAC Championship title, and back-to-back championship. The Raiders have reached the PSAC Semifinals 29 times with 13-15 record, which means the Raiders are trying to reach their 14th PSAC Championships in history. Â
