The Shippensburg University women's cross country team put all five of its scoring runners among the Top 13 finishers on Saturday at Mansfield's Ed Winrow Invitational, but the Raiders were nipped for first place by one point by Bloomsburg in competition on a cool and breezy day in Tioga County.
 
Graduate Kyra Gerber delivered her eighth consecutive outing as Shippensburg's No. 1 runner, placing second to Mansfield's Carly Daniels with a 6K time of 23:03.
 
Freshman Livi Rieck and junior Isabelle Gulgert each completed 6K in 23:17, with Rieck's time of 23:17.2 resulting in sixth place and Gulgert's time of 23:17.8 resulting in seventh place. Rieck and Gulgert continued their roles as the team's No. 2 or No. 3 scorers in all four races thus far.
 
Sophomore Belle Weikert nearly broke the 24-minute mark, crossing the finish line with a time of 24:02.5 that resulted in an 11th-place finish. Weikert has been the team's No. 4 scoring runner in each of the last three races.
 
Redshirt-freshman Kelsey Hull rounded the Raider scorers for the third straight race, placing 13th in 24:20.6. Freshman Morgan Hess was close behind, finishing 15th in 24:27.1.
 
SU had eight of the 11 places spanning 31st through 41st place, with freshman Natalie DiCriscio leading that pack in 25:21. Freshman Emilea Alleman, SU's top finisher in the open race at Paul Short last week, was close behind DiCriscio with a time of 25:23.
 
Shippensburg returns to action in two weeks at Lock Haven for the Go Fast River Run.
