SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's swimming team faced off against Bloomsburg in a home dual meet on Saturday afternoon that was claimed by the visiting Huskies, 137-68, in competition at Donald N. Miller Pool.
Senior
Michael Hannig and graduate
Andrew Hale each delivered big wins on the day. Hannig edged out Tony Goulstone to claim victory in the 100-yard backstroke by .02 seconds, touching the wall first in 55.19 seconds. Hale defeated Blake Nesbitt by .44 seconds in the 100-yard breaststroke to claim gold in the meet's final individual event.
Sophomore
David Johnson was the runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming 5:00.99, while senior
Elijah Zinn took second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.42 seconds. Sophomore
Zaidian Van Orden was the runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly, swimming 54.09 seconds.

JC Greenwood completing the 200-yard freestyle relay in a second-place time of 1:29.30.
Shippensburg will travel to IUP at 5 p.m. Wednesday for a dual meet with the Crimson Hawks.
