Riley’s 12 saves are most by a Raider in 14 years

The Shippensburg University men's soccer team came up short in its 2022 season finale on Saturday at night at East Stroudsburg, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Warriors at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
 
Shippensburg (4-8-4, 0-8-4 PSAC East) and East Stroudsburg (8-8-2, 7-3-2) were scoreless until the 83rd minute, when a penalty was awarded to the Warriors that was converted by Bradley Turocy.
 
Freshman Matt Riley otherwise kept ESU at bay, recording a career-high 12 saves in the contest.
 
Riley's 12 saves are the most by a Raider goalkeeper in 14 years, since Brad Patke had 12 saves in the 2008 season opener against California (Pa.)
 
The hosts posted a 13-3 advantage in shots on goal. Each team had four corner kicks.
