SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 3-ranked Shippensburg University field hockey team stayed strong on offense and took control on Saturday as it defeated No. 2 East Stroudsburg, 1-0, in a rainy, muggy Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) conference opener at Robb Sports Complex.

Lindsay Tripodo had to make two saves, while Supey made four saves.

The Raiders had a 5-3 penalty corner advantage, with the Warriors coming out more aggressive in the third quarter, with a 2-1 penalty corner advantage. Both teams did not have any shots on the fourth quarter.

Shippensburg will travel to Slippery Rock at 6 p.m. Friday for another conference matchup.
