SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's basketball team had its eight-game win streak come to an end Saturday afternoon with a 59-54 loss to East Stroudsburg in a matchup of the Top 2 teams in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division played at Heiges Field House.
 
Shippensburg (10-4, 7-2 PSAC) shot 32 percent from the field and committed nine turnovers in the first half and was down 27-23 at halftime. The Raiders shot 40 percent and made five three-pointers in the second half and held a two-point lead entering the final four minutes.
 
East Stroudsburg (7-5, 5-3) got a layup from Mike Millsip with 2:27 remaining to take the lead and did not relinquish it. The Warriors scored 23 points off turnovers, as neither team led by more than six points in the contest and the lead changed hands 12 times.
 
Shippensburg was once again led in scoring by redshirt-junior 
Rashon Johnson who had 13 points, nine rebounds, and a block. Johnson shot 4-of-8 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.
 
Junior 
Luke Nedrow put up 10 points, six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal. Nedrow shot 4-of-8 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point range.
 
Junior 
Carlos Carter scored 10 points, had three rebounds, two assists and one block. Carter shot 4-of-9 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point range. Graduate 
Jake Biss scored nine points, had three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Senior 
Kiyon Hardy had seven points, two assists, two rebounds and one steal.
 
East Stroudsburg's (7-5, 5-3 PSAC) got 13 points each from Mike Millsip, Marc Rodriguez and Carlos Pepin. Millsip, who entered the game 1-of-11 from three-point range on the season, was 3-of-3 from three-point range in the game. He finished with eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
 
Rodriguez, ranked among the Top 10 in the PSAC in three-point accuracy, was 3-of-5 from three-point range. Pepin had five rebounds and a block. Troy Jones provided eight points and equaled 
Rashon Johnson with a game-high nine rebounds.
 
Shippensburg will host Shepherd at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Heiges Field House.
