Brooke's funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. at Chateau d'Argy, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. Family and friends will be received on Friday, Sept. 10, from 4-8 p.m. at Chateau d'Argy. Online condolences and other information can be accessed on the funeral home website, including access to a live broadcast of the funeral service.

Shippensburg University is mourning the loss of Brooke Emery, an exercise science major and a sophomore on the women's track and field team.

Emery, a native of Brookville, competed in track & field as a freshman for the Raiders in 2021, placing fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May. Brooke was also a PSAC Scholar-Athlete. She was studying to become a physician's assistant.
