The Shippensburg University softball team dropped both games of a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division doubleheader at Shepherd on Saturday, as the Rams defeated the Raiders by scores of 12-6 and 16-4 (five innings) at Sara Cree Field.

Shippensburg (4-6, 3-5 PSAC East) totaled 10 runs and 15 hits in the doubleheader but could not silence the Shepherd (12-1, 8-0 PSAC) bats. The Rams cranked out 29 hits on the day and made the most of their time at the plate.

Freshman
Alyssa Nehlen was productive offensively, going 4-for-6 with an inside-the-park home run, three RBIs, a stolen base and two runs scored. She reached base five times in the doubleheader and had multiple hits in each game.

Sophomore
Hannah Marsteller had three hits, including two doubles, and a stolen base. Freshman
Taylor Myers also had three hits and scored three runs.

The Raiders used seven pitchers in the doubleheader.

Shippensburg is back in action at 1 p.m. Sunday when it hosts Shepherd at Robb Field.
