Four Shippensburg University players have been named to the 2021 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championships All-Tournament Team: freshman forward
Tess Jedeloo, senior midfielder
Jazmin Petrantonio, senior forward
Jenna Sluymer and graduate defender
Caitlyn Wink.
Â
Petrantonio was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament after helping Shippensburg to its sixth national championship in school history and its fourth in the last five seasons. She scored the second goal in the national championship victory against West Chester and finished her historic career with 106 goals, the third-most in NCAA Division II history.
Â
Jedeloo scored both goals, including the game-winner, in the team's 2-1 semifinal victory over East Stroudsburg. Sluymer's game-winning goal in the first 90 seconds of the championship game secured the win over West Chester. Wink had assists on two goals and helped direct the defense that allowed just one goal in the tournament.
Â
It is the third time that Petrantonio was named to the All-Tournament Team and her first selection as the Most Outstanding Player. It is the first All-Tournament Team selection for Jedeloo, Sluymer and Wink.
