The Shippensburg University field hockey team had five of its players named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America teams Tuesday morning.
 
Senior midfielder Jazmin Petrantonio, graduate defender Caitlyn Wink and senior forward Jenna Sluymer were named to the All-America First Team. Graduate midfielder Sarah Womer and graduate defender Tori Albright were named to the All-America Second Team.
 
SU's five All-America honors lead the nation in 2021. It is the first time that the Raiders have had five All-Americans in a single season since having a school-record six All-Americans in both 2012 and 2011.
 
Petrantonio becomes the second Raider in school history to finish as a four-time All-American. Both she and Bre White (2010-13) earned First Team honors in all four of their seasons. It is Sluymer's second All-America honor and her first First Team classification, accompanying a 2018 Second Team classification. It is the first All-America honor for Wink, Womer and Albright.
 
Petrantonio, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Athlete of the Year, led the nation with a career high and school-record 37 goals – the fifth-most in NCAA Division II single-season history. She also led the nation with 84 points and led the nation in goals per game (1.85). Petrantonio scored or assisted in 19 of SU's 20 games this season; the only game in which she did not record a point was in the national semifinal. She scored the second goal in the National Championship Game victory over West Chester and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championships.
 
Sluymer ranked second in the nation behind Petrantonio with a single-season career high of 24 goals. She finished second in the PSAC with eight game-winning goals, tied third in the PSAC with 10 assists, and was second in the PSAC with 58 points. Sluymer scored the game-winning goal in the National Championship Game victory over West Chester and was a member of the 2021 NCAA Division II All-Tournament team. She scored or assisted in 16 of SU's 20 games.
 
Wink, the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year, captains a defense that posted 12 shutouts and allowed only 12 goals and 64 shots on goal in 20 games this season. She is ranked third in the nation for assists per game (0.60) and led the Raiders in assists (12). Wink had assists on two goals in the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championships and helped direct the defense that allowed just one goal in two games. She also plays an invaluable role as the team's primary inserter on penalty corners, from which Wink scored three goals.
 
Womer has been a key figure on a defensive unit that produced six consecutive shutouts and 12 shutouts overall. She is one of four Raiders to start all 20 games and totaled two assists on the season, including one on the game-winning goal in the national semifinal. Womer was integral to a defense that did not allow more than one goal in a game to an opponent over the final 14 matches of the season.
 
Albright, in her first season with the Raiders as a graduate transfer, exceled as a back and was a key component to the defense that posted 12 shutouts. Like Wink, Albright is also a valuable contributor to penalty corners and totaled three goals and six assists. Albright also started all 20 games for a defense that led the nation in shutouts per game and ranked seventh in the nation in goals-against average (0.81).
