The Shippensburg University women's soccer team won 2-0 in its season finale on Wednesday at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division opponent Mansfield in a match played at Karl Van Norman Field.
Shippensburg (5-11-1, 5-9-1 PSAC East) and Mansfield (1-13-2, 0-12-2) played to a scoreless first half, marking the third straight match in which neither the Raiders nor their opponent scored in the opening 45 minutes.
In the 60th minute, senior
Kelli Dunagan sent a cross that was finished by sophomore
Abbi Czarnecki for her second goal of the season.
Less than ten minutes later, Dunagan recorded a second assist, sending a pass to senior
K.K. O'Donnell for a goal. This marks Dunagan's second career multi-assist match – both coming this season against Mansfield.
Freshman goalkeeper
Morgan Molyneaux made seven saves to record her first career victory and shutout. Mansfield goalkeeper Stephanie Moir made 10 saves.
The win pushes Shippensburg's win streak over Mansfield to eight straight matches. Dunagan recorded assists on all four Raider goals scored this season against the Mountaineers.
O'Donnell finishes the season with a team-high and career-high six goals.
Shippensburg posted three shutouts this season and held opponents to one goal or less in 10 of its 18 matches.
