The Shippensburg University softball team concluded its weekend in Virginia with a lopsided win over Bluefield and a 7-2 victory over the host Trojans of Virginia State in action surrounding Ettrick and its suburbs.

Shippensburg (10-4) cranked out 21 hits in its win over the Blues and took a 6-1 lead through two innings against Virginia State to take control.

Every available Raider took to the field throughout the weekend. Sophomore
Grace Palmieri had four hits over the two games, including two doubles, a triple and three RBIs. Sophomore
Hannah Marsteller drove in four runs, and senior
Meghan Klee hit a home run.

Tressa Kagarise got the wins in the circle. Both pitchers had pinch-hitting appearances against Bluefield – Palinkas had a single, and Kagarise hit an RBI-double.

Shippensburg's games against Wilmington on Wednesday have been canceled. The Raiders will host Seton Hill at 1 p.m. Saturday.
