The Shippensburg University softball team split a pair of neutral-site games played at Virginia State on Sunday. The Raiders defeated Chowan, 12-1 in five innings, before dropping a 3-2 decision to Pace.

In the win over Chowan, Shippensburg scored four runs in the third and eight runs in the fourth. Sophomore
Grace Palmieri hit a two-run double to highlight the third, while freshman
Alyssa Nehlen and senior
Meghan Klee each hit two-run doubles in the fourth.

Tressa Kagarise got the win in the circle, allowing one run and striking out eight in five innings.

Statistics at Pace are still being compiled. In the loss to the Setters, Marsteller hit an RBI-double and sophomore
Hannah Johnson had an RBI-single.

Shippensburg will face Bluefield State and host Virginia State on Sunday.
