Shippensburg University men's basketball alumni Dustin Sleva '18 and Justin McCarthur '18 are both playing well for their respective professional teams in Europe.

Sleva, playing for Paris Basket (second division in France), is coming off a 28-point, 9-rebound effort in a 90-83 loss to Saint-Quentin. Sleva, who as 6-for-6 at the free-throw line in that game, served as a captain. He is averaging 20 points and seven rebounds per game early on for Paris.

McCarthur, playing for BC Joniskis Delikatesas (second division in Lithuania), led his team with a 24 points, four rebounds and three assists in a recent loss to second-ranked Jonava. He has played in 10 games for Delikatesas so far and is averaging 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.

In McCarthur's latest game, he scored a team-high 17 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 28 seconds left, and then hit a pair of free throws to clinch a 74-70 win over Telsiai that snapped a five-game losing streak for Joniskis.
