The Shippensburg University men's basketball team had five players score 11 points Sunday in a 73-57 victory at Seton Hill in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover matchup from the McKenna Center.
Shippensburg (14-3, 10-1 PSAC) held a 36-14 lead at halftime. SU shot 42 percent from the field and went 9-of-9 from the free-throw line. The Raiders scored 34 points in the paint and scored 20 points off turnovers. SU also got 31 points from the bench, out-rebounded the Griffins by nine, and committed just 10 turnovers.
Senior
John Castello nearly had another double-double, posting 11 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Six of his nine rebounds were offensive. Redshirt-sophomore
Dom Sleva also had 11 points and nine rebounds.
Senior
Lamar Talley scored 11 points, including a pair of three-pointers. Junior
Jake Biss had 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. Junior
Kiyon Hardy had 11 points, four assists and three rebounds.
Sophomore
Luke Nedrow scored seven points, grabbed five rebounds and had two steals. Senior
Derek Ford made both of his three-point attempts off the bench.
Seton Hill (2-12, 1-10) started out the game 0-of-13 from the field and managed just four points in the final 10 minutes of the first half. The Griffins also missed their first 11 three-point attempts.
Shippensburg hosts Kutztown at 8 p.m. Wednesday from Heiges Field House.
