The Shippensburg University women's swimming team had its first dual meet following the holiday break Friday night in Erie as it faced Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Gannon, posting the top time in three events in competition from the Carneval Athletic Pavilion Pool.
 
Sophomore Tomomi Nakano won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:14.92, while sophomore Camryn Vila was the first to touch the wall in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:28.76.
 
Senior Gracee Tothero took first in the 1,000-yard freestyle, achieving a time of 11:32.75. Sophomore Bri Joll was second in the 400-yard IM in 4:57.35, with Tothero third in 4:58.97.
 
Joll was one of multiple second-place finishers on the night for the Raiders. Sophomore Madison Breiner was second in the 50-yard backstroke (29.60) and the 100-yard freestyle (56.91). Junior Mari Reott was second to Nakano in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming 2:15.38. Senior Gabriella Johnson was second in the 200-yard breaststroke, swimming 2:28.84.

The Golden Knights won the dual meet.
 
Shippensburg is back in action tomorrow morning at Edinboro.
