SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's swimming team wrapped up the home portion of the dual-meet schedule on Friday night, feting three of its seniors before a clash against Clarion from Donald N. Miller Pool. The Raiders dropped the dual meet to the Golden Eagles, 132-73.
 
Seniors Caitlyn Sellers, Nicole Smith and Gracee Tothero were recognized for their contributions to the team and each woman took to the pool on multiple occasions Friday night.
 
Tothero posted three of the seven SU times that satisfied the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying standard on the night. She won the 400-yard individual medley in 4:51.94 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:29.94 while taking second in the 100-yard freestyle on a time of 55.69 seconds.
 
Smith and Sellers both competed in the 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay that bookended the meet. Individually, both women also swam in the 50-yard freestyle.
 
Sophomore Madison Breiner was the other event-winner of the night for the Raiders, claiming gold in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:32.95.
 
Sophomore Tomomi Nakano hit a pair of PSAC cuts on the night, taking second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.26 and second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.69.
 
Junior Mari Reott joined Nakano with a conference qualifier in the 200-yard backstroke, swimming 2:13.14, while sophomore Bri Joll achieved the feat in the 400-yard IM alongside Tothero with a time of 4:56.59.
 
Shippensburg will now begin training for its signature competition of the fall – the Patriot Invitational at George Mason University – to be held November 21-23 in Fairfax, Va.
