The Shippensburg University lacrosse team came up short on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) road match at No. 21 IUP, dropping a 17-5 decision to the Crimson Hawks on a sunny and warm afternoon.

Shippensburg (6-7, 2-6 PSAC) was within one goal of IUP (8-3, 5-3) with 13 minutes remaining in the first half, but the Crimson Hawks erupted for seven goals to take a 10-3 lead into halftime. The Raiders mustered two goals in the second half but could not get any closer.

Kyra Shank added a goal and an assist. It was the third straight game in which Shank found the back of the net. Freshman
Maddy Siejk added an assist and collected two draw controls.

Shippensburg will face its third straight nationally-ranked opponent on Tuesday when it hosts No. 18 East Stroudsburg at 4 p.m. from Robb Sports Complex.
