The Shippensburg University women's soccer team finished its 2018 season Saturday with a 1-0 loss at Slippery Rock in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup from Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
 
Shippensburg (7-10-1, 5-10-1 PSAC) took three shots on goal against Slippery Rock (12-4-2, 10-4-2), who managed five shots on goal. Corner kicks were 4-3 in favor of the hosts.
 
The Rock's Jordyn Minda scored the game-winning goal just 5:47 into the contest. SU nearly got an equalizer with 3:35 remaining, as a shot by senior 
Mariah Varner hit the post.
 
Sophomore 
Delaney Shifflett started in goal for the Raiders, making four saves.
 
The contest marked the finale for SU's senior class: 
Lexi Albert, 
Chloe Flemion, 
Lauren Krenzke, 
Beth McGee, 
Kiersten Priest, Varner and 
Keegan White. The seven women combined to make 344 career appearances, totaling 11 goals, 19 assists and 41 points while contributing to 34 victories in their time as Raiders.
