SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team tied Concord on Saturday, 2-2, in a rain-soaked non-conference matchup from soggy David See Field.
Shippensburg (1-0-1) tallied 14 total shots, with five being on goal, while Concord (0-1-1) totaled 13 shots, six of which were on goal.
SU got off to a fast start with two goals in the first 2:15 that came just 42 seconds apart. Junior
Jake Shefsky gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead after his corner attempt found the back of the net in the second minute.

Cole Kropnick added to the Raider lead after taking advantage of a Concord giveaway at the top of the box and depositing it to the back of the net in the third minute.
Concord would cut into the lead with a converted penalty from Sam Ashton that barely beat junior
Matt Harder to the right post. Harder would total four saves on the day.
The Mountain Lions would tie the game in the 51st minute on a Matt Henderson header off a corner from Michael D'Angelo. Both teams would exchange chances the rest of the regulation and extra time, but none were able to find the back of the net.
Shippensburg will return to action Tuesday at 4 p.m. when it hosts West Virginia Wesleyan.
