Five Shippensburg University athletic teams will have home games this weekend to help headline a busy weekend of activity for the Raiders.
Football hosts West Chester at 1 p.m. Saturday from SU Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium. The Red Raiders (5-0, 2-0 East) will be hosting their long-standing nemesis in the Golden Rams (4-1, 2-0), as the two teams are strongly vying for the Eastern Division title. Both teams are receiving votes in the AFCA Division II National Coaches Poll.
Volleyball (11-5, 4-0 PSAC Central) hosts East Stroudsburg at 7 p.m. Friday and Kutztown at 1 p.m. Saturday from Heiges Field House. The Raiders are one of just three PSAC teams who have yet to drop a conference match this season and have won five-in-a-row entering the weekend.
Tennis is home twice this weekend during its fall non-championship season, hosting Mercyhurst at 12 p.m. Saturday and Slippery Rock at 5 p.m. Saturday. The divisional crossovers are scheduled to lead into a Monday non-conference match with Daemen, weather permitting.
Women's Soccer is hosting Pitt-Johnstown at 4 p.m. Saturday from David See Field. The Raiders are looking to snap a losing streak and pick up their second conference victory of the season.
Men's Soccer is hosting Pitt-Johnstown at 6:30 p.m. Saturday from David See Field. The Raiders are coming off a 1-0 victory in double overtime at Bloomsburg on Wednesday night.
On the road, field hockey plays at No. 5 Slippery Rock on Saturday, while the cross country teams will be in Pittsburgh on Saturday for the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.Â
