SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University wrestling team honored two of its wrestlers Tuesday on Senior Night as the Raiders picked up two victories in a 37-9 loss to No. 3 Pittsburgh-Johnstown in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Division II dual meet from Heiges Field House.
Â
Before the match, senior
Mark Lentz and sophomore
Colin Ochs were recognized in a Senior Night ceremony. Lentz competed at 165 pounds on Tuesday night, his 71st match as a Raider. Ochs wrestled six times earlier this season, but injuries will prevent him from continuing his career.

SU got its wins at 174 pounds and 197 pounds. First, redshirt-freshman
Shane Springer used an impressive move to pin John Blankenship, the No. 3-ranked wrestler in Super Region 1, in just 51 seconds. It's the second-straight pin at 174 pounds for Springer.
Â
Sophomore
Evan Ramos notched his 40th career victory with a 5-3 decision over Jacob Hart, a former Edinboro wrestler currently ranked No. 6 in the region at 197 pounds. Ramos is now 19-1 this season and has won 12 consecutive bouts. Â

Shippensburg concludes its regular season Friday with a 7 p.m. PSAC Division II dual meet at Kutztown.
