Blair scores SU’s lone goal in defeat off Shefsky’s corner kick

The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped their season finale on Saturday, 3-1, to Bloomsburg, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup from Steph Pettit Stadium.

Shippensburg (6-12, 2-9 PSAC) totaled 12 shots on the day, six of which were on goal.

Bloomsburg (3-12-3, 2-6-3) used two goals in the first half to take a 2-0 heading into halftime.

The Raiders got on the board in the 52nd minute when freshman Jamie Blair headed home his second goal of the season off a corner delivered by sophomore Jake Shefsky.

Bloomsburg added an insurance goal from Brett Milden in the 70th minute to preserve the victory.

Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Garret Watson made three saves in the first half before being relieved by senior goalkeeper Evan Raimist at halftime. Raimist registered two saves in the final 45 minutes of his career.

Completing their collegiate careers on Saturday were Raimist, Colten Arnold, Collin McConnell and Tyler Whitehead.
