BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's basketball team had its 10-game winning streak come to an end on Wednesday night in an 88-62 loss to the Bloomsburg Huskies in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup at Nelson Field House.
Shippensburg (15-3, 11-3 PSAC) could not overcome a slow start, shooting just 25 percent (9-of-36) from the field in the opening 20 minutes. SU trailed by 15 points at halftime and got to the free-throw line just three times in the first half.
The Raiders did rally in the third quarter, making seven field goals in the first 5:30 of the frame, to cut their deficit to eight points. Bloomsburg (12-6, 9-5 PSAC), however, countered with an 8-0 run and would lead by double digits the rest of the way.

Morgan Griffith was one of three Raiders in double figures and posted her 10th double-double of the season. She totaled 18 points on 8-of-18 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Colleen Young had 15 points, six rebounds and two assists, while junior
Logan Snyder had 12 points and three assists. Junior
Lauren Gold added five points, three assists and two steals.
Bloomsburg got a school-record 43 points from forward Adreana Sadowski, who shot 18-of-23 from the field. The Huskies had 28 assists on the night and committed just 10 turnovers.
Shippensburg travels to West Chester at 1 p.m. Saturday from Hollinger Field House. SU won the first matchup of the season over the Golden Rams, 85-72, back on December 1. The two teams are atop the PSAC Eastern Division and separated by just a half game.
