SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 2 Shippensburg University field hockey team is holding a Veterans' Appreciation event on Saturday at 1 p.m. when it hosts No. 8 East Stroudsburg at Robb Sports Complex.
 
Before the game, the SU field hockey players will be sporting special t-shirts designed to honor veterans. The Shippensburg University ROTC Color Guard will present the colors for the playing of the national anthem.
 
At halftime, the SU field hockey team will recognize all veterans in attendance with a personal thank you.

Also, SU Field Hockey will be collecting donations for non-perishable items to send in care packages to soldiers. It will also be collecting monetary donations to send to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The special military t-shirts will be on sale at the game for $15.
