Box Score SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University lacrosse team nearly erased an early five-goal deficit to visiting Seton Hill on Friday afternoon but couldn't stop the Griffin attack as it scored 12 consecutive goals in pulling away for a 17-8 victory from Robb Sports Complex.
The Raiders (4-4, 1-2 PSAC) fell behind 5-0 just over six minutes into the game before scoring four consecutive goals to make the score 5-4 with under five minutes left in the first half. Seton Hill (7-2, 2-2) scored three more times before the half ended and eventually grabbed a 17-4 lead with under 15 minutes left in regulation.
Shippensburg scored the final four goals of the game, however, to cut the final deficit to 17-8. SU won the draw control battle, 17-10, and out-shot Seton Hill by a 30-25 margin.
