SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The Shippensburg University women's and men's basketball teams resume PSAC East play on Saturday afternoon when they travel north to Nelson Field House for a doubleheader against divisional rival Bloomsburg. The women's game will tip at 1 p.m. followed by the men's game at approximately 3 p.m.
WOMEN
•   BU is second in the PSAC East with a 9-2 record while SU is third with a 7-3 mark. The top two seeds in the division will earn first-round byes in the PSAC Tournament (West Chester is first with a 10-1 record). The Raiders currently hold the tiebreaker over the Huskies by virtue of their 92-83 home win in the first matchup.
•   The Raiders are fresh off their scheduled bye on Wednesday, having last played on Saturday in a 101-65 home romp of Cheyney. SU made a season-high 10 three-pointers and amassed its second-highest assist total on the year with 23.
•   A winter storm this week postponed several Wednesday PSAC games to Thursday, when sophomore Adreana Sadowski poured in a game-high 27 points to power Bloomsburg to a 89-49 road win at Cheyney.
•   Shippensburg snapped a six-game losing streak to Bloomsburg with its home win over the Huskies on Dec. 7. All 92 of SU's points came from six players, including a then-career-high 33 from senior
Sarah Strybuc.
MEN
•   The Raiders are fresh off their scheduled bye on Wednesday, having last played on Saturday in a 62-58 home loss to Cheyney. SU committed just four turnovers, its fewest in a game in at least 25 years, but shot just 23 percent from the field in the first half and could not overcome a 15-point halftime deficit.
•   SU did not commit a turnover in the second half and went the final 22:25 of the contest without handing the ball over to the opposition.
•   A winter storm this week postponed several Wednesday PSAC games to Thursday, when Bloomsburg won a 62-56 road tilt at Cheyney. BU senior Lorenzo Christmas scored a game-high 19 points.
•   In their first matchup this season, the Raiders dropped an 80-61 home decision to the Huskies.
