SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The The PSAC East No. 3-seed Shippensburg University women's basketball team returns to the PSAC Tournament for the third consecutive season when it hosts No. 6-seed Kutztown in a 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon tip from Heiges Field House.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $2 for students. Students from PSAC-member institutions with a valid school ID will receive free admission.
PROMOTION: The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free Raider athletics T-shirt.

Shippensburg (17-9, 11-5 PSAC East) and Kutztown (9-17, 6-10) are playing for the third time this season, with the Raiders earning comfortable victories both at home (86-57 on Jan. 22) and at KU's Keystone Arena (81-52 last Sat., Feb. 22). Shippensburg holds a 96-61 rebounding edge in the season series and has shot 14-of-30 (46.7 percent) from three-point range.
Saturday's winner will advance to Tuesday's PSAC Quarterfinals where it will play East No. 2 seed West Chester at 5:30 p.m. from Hollinger Field House. The Golden Rams (18-8, 13-3) earned a first-round bye in the PSAC Tournament.
SU enters the playoffs coming off a regular-season finale home loss to Millersville on Wednesday, 74-63, on Senior Day. Kutztown, meanwhile, enters the postseason on a three-game losing that includes an 88-68 loss at Bloomsburg on Wednesday.
The Raiders are seeking their first PSAC playoff win in 10 years, as they last won in the 2004 semifinals vs. West Chester. Shippensburg has since gone 0-6 in playoff appearances over the past 10 seasons.
