WOMEN
•   The game marks a battle between the top scoring teams in the PSAC (West Chester is first with 82.0 points per game while Shippensburg is second with 79.3).
•   The Raiders clinched a PSAC playoff berth and earned their 15th consecutive home victory over East Stroudsburg on Wednesday in an 80-71 home victory over the Warriors. Shippensburg's 80 points were the second-most East Stroudsburg has given up this season as the Raiders avenged a 71-62 road loss at ESU last month that snapped their seven-game winning streak in the series.
•   With the win, Shippensburg leap-frogged ESU and took over sole possession of third place in the PSAC East with four regular-season games remaining. Shippensburg is still in contention for a Top-2 seed and a first-round bye in the PSAC Tournament.
•   Also on Wednesday, PSAC playoff-bound West Chester extended its winning streak to six games with a 63-59 overtime victory at Lock Haven. West Chester is first in the PSAC East with a 12-1 conference record, marking its best PSAC start in school history.
•   Shippensburg suffered a heartbreaking home defeat in the teams' first matchup this season exactly one month ago when West Chester's Dallas Ely scooped in a go-ahead layup with 1.6 seconds left to steal an 87-86 victory over the Raiders.
MEN
•   The Raiders got a game-high 28 points from sophomore
Joe Lococo and put forth a sturdy effort against the No. 6 team in the country on Wednesday evening but dropped a 75-57 decision to East Stroudsburg inside Heiges Field House.
•   Shippensburg held the league's highest-scoring team more than 12 points below its season average but was unable to generate balance in its first-half scoring as Lococo had 20 of SU's 29 first-half points.
•   Lococo has taken on a greater scoring load this season as he leads the team and ranks fourth in the PSAC with 19.8 points per game.
•   Also on Wednesday, senior Shannon Givens nailed a pair of free throws with 7.8 seconds left in overtime to help West Chester to an 87-84 overtime victory at Lock Haven. Senior Troy Hockaday led West Chester with 17 points while Givens finished with 13.
•   In their first matchup this season, the Raiders dropped an 82-65 home decision to the Golden Rams.
